iPhone 3GS - What's my best way of getting one?

I am currently with Vodafone, but contract expires soon and am really tempted to get an iPhone 3GS now. Dunno why.
Mobiles.co.uk are tracked at £60 for new contract via Quidco, and that seems to be the highest. Only need a 16GB, not the 32GB. Colour is unimportant.
600 mins & 500 texts + Unlimited data per month is adequate for me. Phone cost is £87.11 if I take a 24m contract, which I don't want to, but can't see me paying more for it on a 18m contract.

All advice and recommendations welcome. Thanks guys and gals.

well i heard before the end of the year he iphone 3G (not S) will be available on all networks not just O2, so if you dont mind waiting a while for what you an say an slightly older model, then wait and see the price options for that. Honestly other than say camera, and processing power, theres little difference between 3G and 3Gs and both run the same firmwire/os and can run apps etc, so if you do want a cheaper deal the 3G will obviously be cheaper than 3Gs, and even cheaper when all the providers are competing each other for iphone sales.

Thanks. I'll bear that in mind.

Have a look at my post if you don't like a lengthy contract - http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/448491/iphone-3gs-on-a-12-month-contract-t/
