Ipod Nano 4GB Black - any ideas?!

Hi, ok I'm new to this, so please be patient!

I'm looking for an ipod Nano 4Gb - I dont know much about them which is why I'm posting this so I don't end up spending too much!
I have found a couple:

Amazon have one for £123.97
PC World also have one for £128.97 (and 6% cashback at Quidco) which would make it about £121 or so.

Are these prices reasonable? Also if anyone has any advice about the ipod nano that would also be good!

Thanks for your help!

Hmmm... the new ipod nano 4GB doesn't come in black. The one £123 one on Amazon is the old model with shorter battery life. and dimmer screen.

Do youself a favour, order from johnlewis.com - new ipod nano 4GB for £129; use the £15 off voucher (http://www.hotukdeals.com/deal/3156/15-off-75-at-johnlewis-com) to get the price down to £114. And you also have 4% through quidco.

Or you could do the same as poppy10 suggested, but elect for the new black 8GB iPod nano at John Lewis instead.

I got mine last week, and it came to roughly £155 then £3.38 cashback through Quidco. Excellent deal, and significantly better than the previous black nano which I also owned

Alternatively, you can get it from Woolworths, using the 10% off voucher, plus 5% quido. You have to pay for delivery, unfortunately.

Net price via Woolies is : 85% of £129 == £109.65 + £5.95 deliv == £115.60.

The reason that I suggested this, is that I already bought one via John Lewis and Quidco only gave me 2% cashback, since they classify it as a/v and not electrical. Check the Quidco details on this...

So John Lewis is: £129 - £15 == £114, which is still cheaper...

BUT - John Lewis don't have *any* in stock right now, probably because all us HUKDers have scammed them good and proper!

Thanks for your help guys, I've been told that its probably best to get an MP3 player - any advice on a good make of one of these? I really don't have a clue.....as you can probably tell!:?

Lisa

Two main questions:

Where will you be using it?

How many songs do you expect to want on it?

If you just want some thing cheap look at the offers at microdirect there are some very cheap mp3 players. There is a 20gb player for £64.61, don't know whether it will be any good.

Hi Sossidge:
Well its for my boyfriend as a present, he already has a little cheapo MP3 player (think it was only £15 or so) but says this is annoying as the buttons get stuck in his pocket and moves the tracks for him! He'd mainly use it at the gym/on his bike etc - thought the ipod would be a bit better but I really dont know now! Number of songs? - a few hundred+ he likes his music!
Any ideas?
Thanks for the suggestion anton, that sounds good to me - roughly how many songs is 20gb though?

Thanks for your help!
