Xbox Community Ambassador here,

As it stands, Xbox Live seems to be working fine: http://support.xbox.com/en-GB/xbox-live-status?icid=furl_status

I recommend that you do a full system power cycle, rather than just turn it off and on again.

1. When the console is turned on, hold the power button for 10 seconds. The console will go in to shut down mode.
2. Wait for 30 seconds. Then, unplug the power cable from socket and back of console.
3. Wait another 30 seconds. Plug the cables back in and turn your console on.
4. It will take some time to re-boot. Once it has, sign back in to Xbox Live. Hopefully it will be working now.

Tried my console it's actually working fine.

Even tried a test purchase and it went through fine.

So it seems it's just the website that's down?

If I click on a game, I get a "Something went wrong and we can't sign you in at the moment. Please try again later" screen.

That link is working for me. Can you please try clearing your cache/cookies or using a different browser?
