Japan Holiday

Hi, I know there are some people here who are excellent at finding good holiday deals, so....

I'm looking for 7/8/9/10 nights in Tokyo, flying from London on between the 12th and 18th of October, two adults, with any city or fairly central accommodation.

As you can see, we are fairly flexible in terms of duration and dates, but we do have to book in the next few days.

Looking to pay <£1000 if possible (per person, obviously!)

anyone able to help me? Will carry on searching online myself, but perhaps you know somewhere good to look or have seen a great deal for us.

Many thanks!

Try lastminute.com - looks to be loads on there in your price range - I don't know Tokyo at all so can't really help....

Cheers Becksdawe- have been browsing there for the last hour and am stumped- it's somewhere i've not been to before too, which does make the choosing much harder.

My friend flew out this morning for his second time. If you want, I can ask him some tips on good places to visit when he gets back (3 weeks time). I might see some other people tomorrow that have been before, but in fairness they went on trips relating to koi so may not be much use regarding general tourist stuff.

Why don't you give your local travel agent a call and see what they can come up with as well. They should be able to offer some good advice

expedia and ebookers are way way expensive , flights are normally double flybees or thompson

teletex to find some great deals ,need to be patient though , then theres icelolly

http://www.icelolly.com/

the prices here are unbelieveable , a flight out of coventry was 70 quid return , cost in hostel was 55 euros a night , stopped 2 nights , total was 147 quid , at icelolly , 3 nights in a hotel which would have cost us 140euros a night to stop ( 100 quid ) total bill , yours sir for 60 uk pounds , amazing

Flights around those dates are about £600 each, slightly cheaper maybe with KLM via AMS but think I'd maybe go direct with BA or VS (unless you are looking for frequent flyer miles on a certain carrier).

Best thing to do is check out BA or VS for the flights that suit you then try Expedia to see if they can do a package cheaper or if not just book the Hotel with Expedia (remember though and check the hotel direct if booking one of the larger chains).

I have used japantravel.co.uk the last 2 years.
You can actually speak to someone and backup service was good
as were the prices.

Thanks for all of the advice everyone- am going to spend today browsing those links. I did go to the travel agents yesterday, who informed me that at such short notice 'EVERYTHING to Japan would be booked.' Er, apart from all the holidays on lastminute, then...!
