Just make sure you have accidental damage for contents on your home insurance. Make sure you have a low excess and protect your no claim discount.

Don't pay £100 for cover when you aready have it.

If you already have the tv in place then what is the likely hood of accidental damage?

Imo the benefit of having it for £99 just in case outweighs the added premium of claiming on home insurance, as premiums will be higher for next few years of renewal not just next time.

be aware that if you take out the insurance for accidental damage if you make a claim the household insurance for next year can rise because insurance companies check with each other to see if you made separate claims so your premiums could still go up even though you had not made a claim on your household insurance, does that make sense!!

If you have just bought it then you might find your credit card covers you for damage or theft for upto 120 days.
