Hi Everyone, I'm looking to buy 2 sets of Junior Golf Clubs and was wondering does anyone have any recommendations/great price websites, etc.
One set is for a Boy age 5 Right Hand and the second set is for a Girl age 4 Left Hand!
Many thanks in advance!

Are they just getting into golf?

If so then don't go mental spending loads of cash just buy the cheapest you can get because at that age they will either enjoy golf or they won't.

My 1st club was given to me by one of my dads mates and it was a wooden shaft with some tape round the top as a grip, i still have it somewhere, it was used for every shot except on the greens.

You'll be looking at about £50 for a wood, couple of irons, a putter and a bag, thats from Sports Direct. Unless you don't mind 2nd hand then scouring Ebay or gumtree might turn up something. Although left handed you may need to buy new.

Or really alternatively; get down to the local tip and ask if they have any old clubs and then cut them down to size. At that age one club and a putter is more than enough to gauge interest.

Many thanks, great advice! It's so easy to get drawn in to looking at more expensive sets because you want to get them the best and you start to think that it is not too much more money and forget that, as you say, they're kids and it might just be a passing fancy! They are for our grand-children, it's too easy to get carried away - Many Thanks for getting me back to basic's and I'll take your advice and go for decent low priced sets! Thanks again, and thanks for taking time to replay. Appreciated!

Hi - I've just bought from Amazon Longridge Junior Golf Club Sets, 2 off, one left and one right for our two grand-children. They arrived today and we are so pleased that their dad (who is a golfer) says that they are perfect, very nice bag and very lightweight! The left hand set cost £69.01. Hope this helps!

thank you. will have a look, although seems a bit expensive for a child.

I bought two decent full sets from some one who isnt well enough now to play golf anymore. Apparently the daughter had thrown away quite a bit of golfing stuff already! Luckily for me I got to buy two full sets with bag and strolley for £35 each. They seem good quality athough I am no eexpert in these matters as have never played golf before and thought I would try it out as we have soe mini golf obstacle courses near our house that I can use for free and also a run down course that I can also use for free near my house. Have one full size set and one slightly smaller which the lady said would suit ladies.

There are 13 different types of golfing irons in one set and 12 in another. They dont look used much and come with bags and folding down strolley wheels

one is a mens-pro one golf club set (13 irons) with howson caddy

and other is a womens - donnelly golf club set (12 irons) with howson caddy

paid £70 for both sets, although didnt have a clue how much i should pay so paid asking price. Sets seems nice to a total beginner like me. Might try playing a bit on sunday time and weather permitting.

Yes, they were not at a bargain price, but at a good price considering quality and our requirements - and they are for our grandchildren so,,,, there you go,,,, we love to treat them! Our son, the father, who is a golfer, was delighted with them!
