Things to watch are all the added extras don't look at the price of the product too much I would take the price of the product and expect to pay around £30sq mtr extra for your subfloor, adhesives and fitting anymore and they are getting expensive, don't be tempted to get off the internet it never ends up been as cheap as you thing, independent shops will always give you the best job,big chains tend to pile on the extras your not expecting, would post a picture of my floor but don't know how to!if you look on Facebook with my name there are pictures of the floor fitted on there and a lot of pugs pics :-)

There are lots of different VLT manufacturers now, which have spurred from Antico and Karndean. I have done 2 rooms in Karndean with the borders etc. I layered a 3rd room late last year and it looks just as good quality if now better and half the price than the Karndean. http://www.moduleo.co.uk/products/wood

I have karndean. Good hard wearing. needs special cleaning according to installer. some people say they use whatever but I'd rather keep the 10 year guarantee. the only thing I would say is noise transfer. it seems that footsteps are echoed but if your ground floor then maybe ok?

have sold both for years if it is spacia by Amtico it is good if it is real Amtico it's the best you can get the only product made of pure PVC with no fillers and the wear layer cannot be pulled off all other LVT are much of a much in honesty, any questions just ask

Excuse my ignorance! What is the difference between spacia and real Amtico? I am looking at Karndean aran oak. Being PVC would it melt under exceptional circumstances? I am looking for top quality I live in an old house and am trying to have flooring that would looks original. I am not silly I know it is not wood! I am also thinking of laying it as a selling incentive for the future. Cheers x

Sorry to pester you! I have been reading about treatments every 18 months. Karndean does not come pre-treated yet Amtico does. Is this correct? Does seem to be a hassle, I'm looking for an easy life. Thank You in advance.

I have been reading a thread on MoneySavingExpert.com I am so confused there seem to be a lot more negatives than positives for both Amtico and Karndean. I was planning to spare no expense when re-doing downstairs (not the kitchen) HELP!!!

Sorry phone went dead!pvc doesn't sound impressive but for flooring it's exceptionally hard wearing and stable amtico signature us the only product that is pure PVC,karndean came along and made what is calked a composite tile this is made of PVC and fillers to bulk it up what made it cheaper though not quite as hard wearing, amticos answer to this was spacia, all the amtico products require no polishes, karndean recommend a polish to keep up the warranty and keep it looking good though this will give a slight gloss,it is dead easy to apply.i gave actually installed Arran oak knight tile karndean in my hallway and it looks exceptional, modules is comparable to karndean,if the budget is there buy amtico signature if not they are all much of a much
