Lead batteries normally doesn't like to be fully discharged (it's likely what you use for the electric car, similarly it is same type of battery an actual car uses). Keep it topped up once in a while.

AGM / leisure batteries are designed to be deep discharged, you'll usually find these on boats and caravans.

I got a electric car for my son and it says on instruction charge regularly as the battery dies, so even if you not using just pop in charge for hour
