Kodi not that good for any live tv especially sport I have a separate sub for sport
#2
It's excellent for movies.
#3
install Mobdro on it for live tv
#4
Replay of games is fine but live not so good I always watch all games (basketball) the next day and use castaway as the program
#5
as above, sideload Mobdro for live tv. Works flawlessly

Kodi was about as useful as a one legged man in an **** kicking contest for me. Ordered a Kodi box on eBay for the football and it was practically unwatchable with out of synch vision/sound or lagging etc It was probably the box I got but I ended up sending it back. Get on much better with streams online.

is that app decent for the basketball? first year with no league pass or ballstreams in years

If you want it for live Tv get yourself s paid subscription like Flawless IPTV or something, you'll have no issues with buffering or bad pictures quality... All the free sports are terrible and not worth the hassle.
As for films there awesome, don't just stick with one addon have a few back ups like 123movies, Paragon, Bob, Exodus etc

By streams online do you mean the openbox satellite receivers with gifts like the ones on eBay ?

how much did you pay for this then
#11
You need a paid subscription for sport. Other wise it's terrible
#12
As someone said install mobdro. You get all the American sports channels on there if you like basketball. Along with everything else.
#13
Anyone suggest a good sports subscription then?
#14
Live sports/ TV you would need subscription "Ruya", It works perfectly. If you don't have sub it is good for movies and TV show on demand (which I use everyday).

Kodi is great for sport and tv series, and films old and new. takes about 10 minutes to install for a newbie. i usually re do mine everybthree months.

i dont pay for anything and never will. As soon as i have to pay i will make my own channel.

And i would recommend doing it yourself. If your not sure just pm me with what you want to watch and i will send some simple guide on how to do it for free.

Builds are good, but doing it yourself is better. Builds are ok but most end up with dead links or things dont get updated.
Doing it yourself if something is not working you can just remove it and reinstall it or something else that will give you the channel you lost.

Thanks for all the input guys, much appreciated. I think if I'm going to try kodi I'm better of getting a fire stick or a £30 android box rather than the more expensive fire tv. I thought the reason for these boxes were to get away from monthly subscription but it seems most people pay something.

sportsdevil its free.

Paying someone for a subscription is ludicrous.

Check your parental control settings. If your internet provider / router has them enabled it will also block a lot of good sources for kodi.

Watch any football a couple of hours after it's been played on castaway , movies and TV series great with exodus
#27
smoothstreams is a paid subscription but all there football and other sports are in hd.so you can watch sky sports in hd quality.I pay 35US dollars every 3 mths and you can share with 2 other people,so technically it only costs you £10 for 3 months for all sport.what more could you want.I used to use sportsdevil but buffering and lag put paid to that.this is the best option take it from me.

All your kodi needs is
sportsdevil, phoenix(also has sports),exodus, stream all the sources (for anything cant find in exodus) halow (back up sports,i.e pay per view/sky tv) ukturks (last resort backup, not had to use in 6 months)

i will admit most live sports are not in hd but as its free thats fine with me.

On the one hand you state paying for iptv is ludicrous, then state you use sportsdevil for sports but not in HD. I would rather pay £1 per week for flawless HD sports any day.

mobdro for live tv and sport, kodi for movies.

VU+ is overpriced. Receivers like Gigablue Ultra UE do the same for half the money and the same performance

Any E2 tbh. Would never go back to open box after them. Good starters but once you delve into E2 you don't go back
