Looking to get my wife a Ladyshave for xmas, sorry to sound like a "stupid bloke" but at looking at the Braun Silk-Epil offers i noticed they are different.

Whats best epilator or an electrical ladies shaver and whats the difference!!

I also read that epilators are more painful, is that true?

Any recommendations from experienced users out there?

I have just bought the Braun Xpressive Silk Epil. It is an epilator and shaver. It is absolutely one of the best on the market. This Epilator is only painful on long hairs and so I shaved first and then about 2 weeks later I began to use the epilator and it is the least painful and most efficient I have ever used. I did loads of research before buying it and it paid off!!

Epilators pull out the hairs so regrowth is slower than if you shave. The Braun is the least painful and I too think it is the best.
A word of warning - I for one would not really appreciate getting one for Xmas - Its a bit like you're saying shes too hairy. Unless shes given you the okay or a hint to get one I would think about it very carefully.....try talking around it to find out if she wants one first.

She's been dropping hints like bricks that she is fed up using disposables but I'm still not sure if its a shaver or the epilator, better do some detective work.

Thanks for your help so far.

One other thing the Braun Xpressive comes in wet or dry, so if you are getting one you need to ask the lady if she wants one to use in the bath or just dry.
