Can someone tell me where I can get a cheap but decent laptop around £300.00. It should be of good speed with high memory storage and it should be a decent well-known brand not acer or samsung

both acer and samsung are good PC brands. Sony don't actually make their computers you know. the drive is still liteon, cpu intel, memory kingston, motherboard asus etc. about the only thing they do is comission a custom case.
Dell outlet? Not sure if this will suit but they have laptops that are "Scratch & Dent"

Scratch & Dent : Sometimes brand new or refurbished items have considerable cosmetic blemishes that do not impact performance. Whenever this happens, they are sold as Scratch & Dent items. This is a great option to save money while maintaining the reliability of Dell Outlet's rigorous rebuilding and retesting process.

Would this be of interest?
I'm currently using an Acer and love it. Over the last couple of years I've had HP, Sony, Toshiba and this Acer is the best by far.
In either off the following places you can see a selection off three or four laptops for under £300. Staples. Currys or Commet. All instore so you can see and takeaway the same day.
