Hi

I am after a laptop but I'm not sure if my budget will fit the specs I am after unless I am really lucky.

I can spend about £500 give or take a bit including vat and delivery. The specs I would like are..

64bit CPU (will take a 32bit if the other specs can be found and is around 1.5 - 1.7ghz)
512mb ram
40gb hard drive
15" screen
Wireless lan 802.11a/b/g

Thanks :)

There is no way you'll get a 64 bit mobile processor laptop for under £500.

I found this for £633 delivered
HP NX6125 AMD Turion 64 ML28 1.6GHz 512MB 60GB 15" DVD±RW WLAN XP Pro

this is more suiting your budget for a tidy £494
Toshiba Satellite Pro L10 Cel-M 370 1.5GHz 512MB 40GB 15" CD-RW/DVD WLAN XP Pro

Thanks:).

Yea, I didn't think I'd be able to find one for under £500, I just read on another message board of someone who got one for 800 euros which isn't that much more.

I found this deal which seems pretty good, I'm just not too sure about Acer's

edit: doesn't actually seem to be on the website it links to.

This would have been perfect if it had built in wifi and was in stock lol.
