Laptop Advice...

I need to buy a laptop for my brother/Dad - but I have very little experience of today's market. - I ideally want to spend no more than £400.

The Laptop would be used almost solely for E-bay listing (my family are traders of sorts) so the laptop would be used solely for uploading listings, downloading photos etc..
I have looked at many deals posted here including vostro's etc. but I do not have the expertise to diffrentiate between the different models.
I would guess that the spec required would need a Laptop with at leass 1gig RAM, and would need to have a good wireless card, (alothough it could still be hard-wired most of the time) battery life is not a problem - and a larger screen would be prefered.

Any thoughts?

cheers, this looks good - the reason I am willing to go up to £400 is that they have managed to go through 2 laptops in 2 years, and generally after about 5-6 months they seem to slow down and develop problems - I thought it might be worth spending a little more on something that might last a little longer....

Buying refurbished is almost the same as buying 2nd hand

Check out ebuyer plenty of low priced deals on there

As waterloo saids you dont need to be spending anywhere near £ 400
