Hi everyone, and happy new year to you all (pinch and a punch and no returns!)

Just got one question for you all really, anyone got any idea where the wow, feck me sideways with a stick, that's absurdly cheap deals are on Dell laptops this year?!

Kind of like the ones in last years sale where routinely we were seeing temperatures of 1000 degrees plus?

I'm in the market for a cheapo secondary machine at no more than £300 and although I'm tempted by the NC10 (I've seen and liked) I'm also aware after chatting with the all seeing all knowing guy in PC world that a decently priced laptop (being in the right time at the right place, nudge, nudge, wink, wink) will knock spots off said machine.

Only problem is nobody seems to have come up with said Dell laptop deal! Is it happening this year anyone know!!??

Cheers for your help.

PS. The lappy/netbook will be a second machine for house/portable use. It will share a wireless broadband connection with the main machine via a Zyxel wireless router, and will be used for surfing, emailing, word processing via office word, and downloading music via itunes to play on my ipod and kept as storage on the machine.

I've almost bought the medion via Viking Direct (hot deal last week) but was talked out of it by a mate at the last minute who knows other people who have had issues with Medion, and am also very tempted by the NC10 offer on Dixons today.

The NC10 has had some very good reviews can't got far wrong with a budget of £300 this is suitable in regards to Medion I have seen a few of them desktops admittedly and it was built very well German made i think enough said really... oh most of the stuff in PC World know very little better seeking independent advice.
