laptop battery help/advice

i am going on a 9 hour flight and my new laptop inspiron 1525 only last about 2 and a half hours at most, i was hoping to make it last most of the flight can anyone advice me the cheapest way to do this, i looked around and could not find any batterys to buy. my flight is in 4 weeks.

some manufacter sell a AC aircraft adaptor, but TRUTHLY an airplane won't let you use it, a 2nd battery is your best option.

Also, Set you screen to lowest brightness, dont use CDs (moving parts use more battery life), disable onboard NIC (think in dell quicklaunch in programs)

id like to reiterate, u wont be able to use ur laptop on flight!

Check with the airline too, I believe several are now not allowing you to carry spare batterys.
