it's a good choice turkleton...most laptops in the £450 and below price range are 512 ram unless you go for a vista loaded one that has a lower spec CPU.

The best one at the moment is the Dell 6400 that came on the HOT DEALS today..is there any reason why your Dad is against Dell?

The Comet Acer will get you 3.5% quidco cashback ..which is just over £17

Forget the Dell..as it will be over £500

He wants to get one on finance.

He'll settle for 60 gig and 512 ram if its a good system.

Well he'd be better off getting a bank loan and buying online...there are some good Toshiba deals around for the spec you quote here and they are offering a £100 cashback.

I'll point you to the thread when I find it.
