Hello
I want to increase my Toshiba Laptop ram from 256 to 512MB. Where can I buy this RAM (is this what SDMM memory is ? what kind of memory is this?)
Who gives information to upgrade(like how to do it) once I buy the same ? Please let me know the best deals on the same. thanks.

http://www.crucial.com/uk/promo/index.asp?prog=uk%5Fscan%5Fdoc should help

If you purchase go through Quidco for 7% cashback...and there may be a valid discount code in the vouchers section.

www.dabs.com and www.ebuyer.com have good memory prices.

Personally i would buy a 512mb stick upgrading your laptop to 768.
As you dont get many slots on a laptop.

Also its worth checking how many sticks of ram you have in already.

maybe consider taking the 256 out and putting in 2x 512 and going for a full upgrade to 1gb? Just an idea, and you'd notice a much bigger difference than if you went from 256 to 512. It probably wouldn't be too much more expensive either :-)
