Laptop Needed - £500 Budget.

Hello, I need to buy a laptop as a gift for somebody, but have a budget of around £500. The laptop will be used for browsing the Internet, using itunes and downloading music etc. It won't be used for gaming or anything like that.

Does anybody have any recommendations, or know of any good deals around at the moment?

I have these two in mind at the moment;

http://www.comet.co.uk/cometbrowse/product.do?sku=407127&tab=specification#spechttp://www.comet.co.uk/cometbrowse/product.do?sku=407127&tab=specification#spec

http://www.comet.co.uk/cometbrowse/product.do?sku=405140&tab=specification#spechttp://www.comet.co.uk/cometbrowse/product.do?sku=405140&tab=specification#spec

What do you think of them? Are they any good, or are there better ones out there for my money?

Thanks for any help, suggestions or opinions. It's very much appreciated.

How does the Fujitsu one look, then?

I like the idea of a 17" screen as it will mostly be used at home and not carried about much.

Any other great deals out there?

I recently bought last week a Fujitsu Siemens from Comet, it has windows vista basic on it, it was £349 and i love it, its an ideal laptop to have.
But then it depends on RAM, HDD space you would ideally like etc. I got it for basic net surfing etc and does the job, also have itunes on my laptop as well.

I'm fine with that, mate. I think.

To be honest, the laptop will be used for browsing the Internet, downloading music, itunes and watching DVD's.

What specs would I need to do this?

Do you think this is a good one? Or do you reckon it's a bit much for just the basic stuff I need to do?

For basic Internet browsing and downloading music, what should I be looking for? What sort of RAM, processor etc etc?

Thanks for the other links too, people.
