I've been given money to purchase a laptop however I'm wondering if anyone has any feedback on the variety of brands available now.

I have had a sony laptop which lasted me 3 years, and recently bought a compaq which is now banjaxed at 9 months... I know repairs but that's just not me...

I'm a web designer I use applications like adobe suite, and firefox...

Does anyone have any advice on brands like fujitsu, Samsung....well any

I'd like to pay around £400

People say Hp are good, I had one which lasted 13 months, cost £700 :( This time I've went for a Dell and made sure I get the extended warranty, I'm fed up wasting money on rubbish electronics

Thanks :)

Laptops are ridiculous now they don't seem to last any amount of time :(

I'm looking at a similar range and narrowed it down to these two...

HP DV9605 PAVILLION DV9605

TOSHIBA EQUIUM A200-1VO Laptop

I'd look around for any discount codes or quidco, there are similar offers at pcworld and comet.
