Laptop to TV cable advice needed

Hi guys. I have bought this new acer 5720 laptop with Vista home premium.
I would like to connect it to my TV. Could please recommend me what is the way to connect it to TV? and links to cables to buy in UK. thanks.

The laptop has 7pin svideo


On the Tv I have these 4 pin svideo
on the front
on the back

The graphic card details are here.

That looks like you have S-video on both your laptop and your TV, which is fortunate. For this you will need a male-male S-video cable, which you can get here:

or pretty much any AV store. Be aware though that S-video the resolution and quality of image will most likely not be brilliant via this method.

Ah, it's a 7 pin interface on the lappy... In which case, you need something *like* this:

Apologies for the ebay link, and mods, don't block it since it's the only example of this cable I could find after a quick google search.

What it is, is a 7pin s-video to RCA cable, which will connect into the yellow/white/red plugs at the back of your TV. RCA tends to be on the lower end of the quality scale, with rampant pixel crawl, so you might be better to source either a 7-pin -> 4 pin cable or 7-4 plug and use the regular cable.

If you have a decent audio shop, such as Richer Sounds (i.e. not Dixons), or even a maplin then a quick browse round there should help you out.
