I've been saving and waiting for the new GTX 1050 laptops and I've just found out the one I wanted isn't going to exist.

I hoped Asus were going to make an i7 7700 or 7820 with 16GB and the GTX 1050 in the G style chassis maybe even with G-Sync. Sadly they are only offering the GTX 1050 in the cheaper Strix GL chassis which runs far warmer (among other short comings in comparison) and the G series is only going to have 7th gen CPU's with the 1070 and 1080 leaving the 1060 with a 6th gen.

Anyone know what Dell are planning to do with the 1050 GPU in their range (other than the XPS 9650) ?

Dell are going to be having the GTX 1050 in their XPS 15 series of laptops with kaby lake processors. Lisa from mobile tech review mentioned it in a video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hg4_g13lb9c)

They are bringing out the inspiron 7000 gaming (7566) with a gtx1050, should be quite cheap and you can get a 4k display.
otherwise HP with the student store through unidays have the HP Omen 15 with a i5 7300hq, 8gb ram, 128gb ssd, 1tb hdd, gtx 1050, 1080p ips
for £729
