Looking to get a new laptop, £500 budget. Main use is internet/office/itunes/spotify/playing movies.

Interested in the Sony Vaio EB1E0E -

Any other laptops worth looking at?

try this one. When I posted it, it got good feedback as you will see. delivered its £449 now, but still seems good value as its a 17" Version

both have the same processor as the Sony you mentioned

How do the processors compare to the i3 in the Sony?
What's the build quality like on the Dell?

Cheers

Personally I would go for the Dell as I have always had good quality products from them. These 2 lappy's are not the cheap and cheerful PC's that are pushed out by Dell most of the time. Although the build quality of the Sony will probably be very good as well

From what I can see the i3 processor in the Sony is the same as the one in either of these 2 offerings from Dell....unless I have missed something

The 2 Dell's have HDMI output as well, so ideal to connect up to a TV :-)
