Laptop with dedicated graphics for around £400

Basically i need to get a new Laptop and i'm looking at spending around £400.

I will be only using the Laptop for basic word processing, surfing the net, storing music+films so want a 250gb hard drive and it must be able to run Football Manager 09 hence the dedicated graphics needed.

Found a Sony at tesco but that is now out of stock.

Any suggestions would be great.

this is on money saving expert website

Top Pick: Huge RAM, best graphics.
HP-Compaq 6735s, £389.98 delivered.

If you don't have your heart set on an Intel processor, this HP-Compaq, also from ebuyer, is unbeatable for the money. With a 2.1 Ghz Turion X2 processor (AMD's equivalent of an Intel Core 2 Duo), a massive 4GB RAM, and dedicated 512MB ATi Radeon HD 3200 graphics card, it'll handle anything you throw at it (software wise, that is!).

Other features include built-in Bluetooth, and SD card reader, a lightscribe DVD-RW drive (which can 'print' labels on lightscribe-compatible CDs/DVDs), and a fast charger, which can apparently recharge the battery to 90% in 90 mins when the laptop's switched off. You also get a free 60-day MS Office trial an in-built webcam.

Processor: AMD Turion X2 Dual-Core 2.1GHz
RAM: 4GB (4GB Max)
Hard Drive: 250GB SATA
Optical Drive: DVD±RW lightscribe
Display: Widescreen 15.4 " TFT (Resolution WXGA 1280x 800)
Graphics: ATi mobility Radeon HD 3200 512MB
Included Software: Vista Home Premium
Warranty: 1 year pick-up and return

So even though in the first post it says dedicated, it is not?

Damn, really want one with dedicated graphics.

Really want a Toshiba, HP, Samsung or Sony.

Try to find Sony Vaio somewhere else

or SAMSUNG

I do not think you will get Tosh with required spec for £400

You can't go wrong with the ASUS above

They are the two laptops i've been looking at. Am really annoyed that the Sony is out of stock. Do like the Samsung, do you know if its any good?

Unfortunately, I do not know much about the series, but Samsung's laptops generally have a good reputation in terms of reliability.
