Hi. I want to get eyelash extensions for my wedding but im not too sure what are the pros and cons to them. Ive heard they are hard to maintain aswell as destroying natural lashes. If i want something that enhances my natural lashes would that be possible without having the whole drag queen lash look. Lol. Is there any places within the midlands area you could recommend and what is the price range. Also id like to get a spray tan, dont want to end up looking like ive been tangoed lol. I usually self tan and it comes out good but would like to try this.Whats the best way to maintain a tan..? Any locations withinh the midlands and what are prices like. Please leave your suggestions below. Thanks x :)

Shave or wax & exfoliate the day before a tan as you probably already do using your own fake stuff and don't use any oil based products as they break the tan down. I like fake bakes oil free moisturiser and body wash. As for eyelash extensions I found they did pull a few of mine out with them when they fell out. I would say go to someone reputable in your area maybe ask on facebook to recommend someone, usually someone on there has a business doing it and will have photos up for you to look at of their work. Have a trial of their tan and lashes before the wedding, a few weeks before, so you can see if you actually like it, if not then you still have time to find someone else.

just to add lash extensions are expensive to maintain, cheap ones (£10) last less than a week, more expensive ones cost about £40 every 6 weeks, but can look horrible in a couple of weeks then youre left waiting another few weeks until your next appointment to top them up. Also with lash extensions youll have to use an oil free cleanser, moisturiser and make up for around your eyes as again oil breaks the glue down. you can get a natural look with them.

thanks for ur reply. If i just wanted the lashes for a week or so would that be possible without having to get them put in every so often. Also i know this sounds ridiculous but do they get knotted. Im assuming theyr like hair extensions and require to be brushed through with a spoolie...? Do u have any tips to make my natural lashes thicker. Ive used castor oil bcuz ive heard it promotes growth but i didnt see a change. Ive seen stuff like rapidlash but its pretty pricey. Thanks for ur help..! X :)

No they're far too short to get knotty and I'll be honest if you get the cheap ones you'll want to make sure you sleep face up every night as they're plastic individual lashes so if you get a kink in them then you can't brush it out or straighten them again. As I said you can get the cheaper ones that last a week (usually a lot less if you still want them to look half decent). No tips sorry I use benefit they're real and eyelash curlers which is enough for me. Ardell do really nice strip lashes called wispies which are very natural looking. To be honest I would pick those over individual extensions any day

Depends who you go with really I've seen some for £15 and others for £30. Try different people and different brands of tan as some can look great on others and bad on yourself. St tropez and fake bake look great on one of my mates but I look like an Oompa Loompa in it. I use vita liberata and even cheap st moriz.
Have a practise with the lashes before the day so you can get them to sit right for you. They are what I wear on a night out. I hate the drag queen huge lashes some girls wear it's too much!! Not a good look. Glad I could help. It's a big day and you have to look your best :)

I would have a trial run if you have enough time as fake tans can come out quite dark or orange. Also I've had eyelash extensions and found them really uncomfortable and fell out really quickly. Good luck

i've had eyelash extensions done a few times

as a one off it won't damage your eyeslashes

they stick on indivudual lashes to your own lashes

to maintain them dont rub your eyes, and when you wash your face only dampen your eye area

i would go for a patch test first to see if you come out in any reactions

if you don't have it done the day before

can take up to 90 minutes for a full set

i cannot recommend anyone as i am leeds based

second option which i have also tested out is eyelash fibres

paint a coat of mascara
using the eyelash fibre wand roll the wand down your own eyelashes
wait a few seconds to dry
paint another coat of mascara
repeat

HUGE difference!!

to avoid the spider look, comb through the eyelashes

pratice makes perfect
