Right hello.

Basically im selling my desktop computer, and just going to be using my laptop.

With the money i get from selling the computer im going to buy an xbox 360.

So basically i want a hd tv or hd ready(whats the difference) for my room. It has to be hd so i can get the fullness out of my 360 :).

I want it to be at least 20", the ideal size would be 26" or bigger.

So can someone just give me some prices, as i dont really know alot about hdtv's etc.

Many thanks :)

So it has to be over 20" thats the task!

Well panasonic do a fantastic 103" plasma which will set you back about £45,000. Job done!

Back in the real world if you only interested in the xbox 360 and guess your looking at around £300 then I'd go for a 24" monitor the Samsung SM245B. Then if you want tv as well buy a usb freeview stick for your laptop.

Games with no lag on a good size screen laptop on big screen and tv too.

Remember some speakers too. Try Logitech X-230 £23 at amazon.

So £350 all in. My work here is done.

You can do alot worse than this for £199.99 - 5% quidco.

The look is a matter of taste, of course, but it gets 5 star review in what hi-fi, and that was when it cost £600.

Thanks.
I like.
What does it mean hd ready?
Is this exactly the same as a hd tv?

I like as well!
HD Ready means that it can play basic hidef video. The screen resolution is 1366x768, which means that it'll play 720p hidef video. It also does 1080i, where the 1080 pixel image is downscaled to 720 pixels.

It doesn't have a digital receiver, so it can't receive freeview, but if you have an external freeview/recorder/sky/cable etc, that doesn't matter.

It also has a VGA port, so you can connect your computer, or your 360 via VGA.

So, in summary, it's a proper telly. It just looks a bit weird! Perfect if you have a designer Eames armchair such as this:

Classic style.
