There's so much scope it's hard to reply. What you are best to do is look for the best of the brand names like Panasonic or Hitachi then look for the lowest priced incorporating the features you want the tv to have. Obviously you will find the 26" cheaper than a 32" so start by looking for the 32" if you are wanting to spend close to your £500 price bracket. Make sure it is HD ready for that price though.

If you find one you think you might like, post it here and I am sure someone will tell you it's +pluses and -minuses.

Was curious myself if anyone can help. Just away to buy one soon for my PS3 im getting in march and was wondering if theres anything in particular the LCD should have ?

DVi is pc input but you can connect using HDMI (HDMI is Hight definition cable), the chances are that you have DVI already on your video card. My tv doesn't have a dvi input so I use the spare HDMI using a hdmi to dvi cable. There are other ways of connecting but those are best 2 ways.

Look at the resolution and ratio first but there are so many cheap brands out there you do not what you are getting unless you have either seen it, read a good review from a reliable source, or chosen a well known good brand name. The backlight could be poor, the sound could be poor both of which you would not know unless you had, again, read a review or seen it for yourself.

I could tell you a cheap HD ready 32" right now is at Woolworths but I have also heard the backlight isn't great so I would not offer it as a suggestion.

I did see a nice Matsui 32" at Comet last week at £450 though, it was black but I don't remember the model ... it had a blue light as the on light just under the middle of the screen and it was black.

You'll be wanting at least one HDMI slot and a response time of 8ms or less. Problem is that even if a quick response time is quoted some sets still experience ghosting, which will be more apparent with gaming than anything else. Best finding a set then searching AVForums to see how people are getting on using their 360s with it.
