Leaving EE after 13 years, need help please

Hey, I have been with EE/Orange for 13 years, since I came to the UK, but I have had enough of them lying to me when I renew my contract and telling me data and min plans and then changing them and having to phone and argue and get them to listen to calls.

Anyway, I have a S4 and the screen flickers but its usable, I am leaning towards a Sim only until the spring when new phones come out.

Giff Gaff are cheap at £15.00 per month on 4G, but they have no 4G coverage in my area, but 4G is not overly important, but they still dont have good reviews on trust pilot.

Can anyone recommend good deals, I am not on virgin so they are not working out cheap either, and looking on 3, they dont have many good deals.
I am on a 36.00 per month, and want to reduce this to about 15.00 - 18.00 per month.

Min Requirements are:
500 min
unlim texts or at least 1000
and at least 2gb data

Thanks so much guys and girls.

Hello I just upgraded to stay with ee and got 1000 mins Unlimited texts and 2GB 4g data for 12.99....A deal apparently only for existing ee customers....worth ringing them to ask about this if it suits ur needs

Why don't you look into a 30 day rolling plan with Tesco?
That way your not making a commitment so your free to do what you want in the future and in the meantime their just about as easy to deal with as it gets.
I've been with them for years and the customer service is fantastic..they just don't play the word twisting , snake oil selling games the other networks do to get you to sign up.

You can switch to Asda Mobile
My Wife and daughter are using this and its great
https://mobile.asda.com/orders/new
Order free sim online or buy for 50p from an Asda store.
Your first month is free
This gives you 2 GB data, 2000 texts and 1500 minutes
This lasts for 30 days, then you buy a bundle, doing this every 30 days gives you a great sim only deal with no tying to contracts
The bundles you can buy every 30 days is
£5 gives you 100 mins, 2000 texts and 100MB data
£7.50 gives you 200 mins, 2000 texts and 250MB data
£10 gives you 500 mins, 2000 texts and 500 MB data
£15 gives you 1000 mins, 2000 texts and 1GB data
£20 gives you 2 GB data, 2000 texts and 1500 minutes
After 30 days all your mins, GB data and texts goes to zero - so no rolling your leftovers to the next bundle

I hope you find this data helpful

Don't get Vodafone contract. I am returning to EE. Try what Jayzee1 said.

After all this time they did not even attempt to give me any deals or keep me after 36.00 per month
Just handed over the pac code.
They asked why I am leaving, I advised to expensive, they said ok, and that was it.
Tesco deal is a 12 month contract and if my phone breaks then I am stuck

Just want a 30 day for now and wait for the new phones

£17.50 for tesco 30 day rolling for what I need, not too bad but feel I can do better.

Even if you are in a 12month contract you are free to buy another handset whenever you like. I usually go sim only and buy an handset as its cheaper when you average out the monthly cost.

Have a look at 'The peoples operator'. Are reasonable priced and run on the ee network so you know they will work. I use them and have only positive things to say about them. Very good customer service.

Must be a retention deal then as that's what I'm currently paying
