Hi, does anyone know what the criteria is for claiming legal aid? I only work part time with no other financial support from partners and apart from housing benefit and child tax credit, have no other income. Was wondering if i would be entitled to Legal Aid. Long shot i know!!

It is fully means tested, but generally speaking with the benefits you receive you should be entitled to at least partial help

Seek some legal advice. You get a free consultation then they can tell you there and then. I didnt pay anything for the help i recieved at the police station, magistate and crown court. I an emplyed and have savings.
