I am a bit of a nexus fan boy. But something that is worth baring in mind is the cost and availability of cases and other accessories :)

Just from an technical point of view. Is it better then the Nexus 2012? What do you think?

Numbers wise they are very close the lenovo does offer the micro SD and an extra camera. Nexus 2012 seems slightly better on processor as it is a tegra 3 and the nexus 2012 is one of the best devices I have used for picking up wifi signal at the greatest range.

If you could stretch your budget and get a nexus 2013 you won't look back.

I would use it mainly for games. So what would you choose?

I could stretch the budget, BUT a child will use it as well. Can you get a very sturdy protective case for it?
