It really depends on when you are looking to go, if it is a bank holiday weekend or easter then there may be some offers.

You don't normally get many offers for a Monday night. Monday to Thursday nights are busy corporate nights for hotels in London and their occupancy levels are normally pretty high. As it is mainly coroporate travellers during the week the prices tend to be higher than at the weekends.

The best night for offers is a Sunday as hotels are very quiet on a Sunday night.

Various options via quidco - Laterooms are pretty good.

Another site that's good for travel www.traveljungle.co.uk no quidco though.

It also depends if you have any particulary areas that you want to be nearby as it's such a big town. Personally, I would avoid Kings Cross & Paddington areas as they can be a bit dodge.

If you need to find out about transport journeys do it here

I usually stay at the Arriva Hotel very near Kings Cross and the single room is around 30-35 quid depending on when you stay and who you book it through. I've returned at all times of the night and never found the area to be dodgy in the sligthest. Maybe I have been lucky all of those times.

Try booking one of the Top secret Hotels on lastminute.com. They don't tell you what hotel you get until you book it, but all hotels are quality checked before signing up.

Hotels use it to sell distressed stock.

My mate booked a 5* on Leicester Square the other day for £99 and the normal selling price was £320 - as he price checked it, directly after booking it.
