Looking for 32" deal

I'm in the market for a new LCD TV for my games room. Would like bigger than my current 26" Philips, but not ridiculously big as I'm sitting pretty close to it! Think a 32" would be ideal.

* Needs to have at least 2 HDMI slots (360 and PS3).
* Would love 1080p, but probably outwith my budget.
* Obviously needs a good looking picture.
* A long warranty would be good, as my current tv started playing up after 2 years.

Thinking around £350-£400 budget. Was considering the Sony KDL32V4000U, SAMSUNG LE32A457 or SAMSUNG LE32A336 from Richer Sounds. Haven't been in to compare them yet.

What would you recommend?

Is it worth holding off a few weeks and picking something up in the Boxing day sales?

Thats probably a good idea. I did that and got a Samsung 40" 1080p for 699. Im sure theyll have some good bargains on boxing day.

TVs rarely get any cheaper in post-Xmas sales!

The Samsung deal from John Lewis posted above is good if you're OK about Samsung TVs. Comet, Currys etc charge over £100 for a 5 year warranty so the same deal would be about £450+ elsewhere. If Samsung's TVs are as unreliable as the rest of their products, you'll need a 5 year warranty. :whistling:

Is the LE32A457 any better then the LE32A455C1D? It's only £310 in Costco, and available in white which would match my iMac etc.

Aarrgh! Went all the way to Costco today, to find their Samsung sold out. Got back and tried ordering the one from John Lewis, and it's out of stock too! :-(

Is it worth paying £80-£150 extra for a 1080p model?

I'll only be playing 360 and PS3 on it, and the occasional bluray. Is 1080p so noticeable on a 32" screen?

Can anyone tell me if the LG 32LG5700 is any good?
