Hi, I've just ordered one from ebay (paid a fiver including postage) - maybe see if there is one in your area. The other thing I did last time for fancy dress was put a wanted post on Freecycle - someone loaned me the costume (although I worded it so it wasn't obvious to the moderators that I was after a loan).

They do Wizard costumes in Sainsburys for about £11 from memory, saw them on Saturday also Tesco do the wands for £2.

by tomorrow that is going to be difficult good old woolies would have been my choice, have you tried tesco or asda with the halloween stuff or perhaps make one, get some card fold it round into cone shape and paint, i am hopeless at the "diy" stuff here is a link for a make it yourself.

Oh yes, and Asda do toddler witches hat for about 50p and you could put some big silver stars on them and maybe buy a cheap cloak to go with it if you were hapy to do a bit of DIY.

Thanks everyone they only told us yesterday that it was witches and wizards and I thought it would be ok if he just wore his other halloween costume but no it has to be a wizard!
I don't want to spend much as he will only be wearing it for an hour, have today and tomorrow to find or make one so will look in all the stores you mentioned, and wow didn't realise poundland sold childrens fancy dress stuff might be able to get a cape for £1 and stick some starts on it and then make a hat if I can't get one.
Rep left for you all x

Yep, I saw Wizards costumes in Tesco too, although your local store may have run out if all the school children are after them.....Good Luck!!

Oh thanks everyone, I have left rep for everyone else now. I looked in all the stores local to me, the ones that sold wizards costumes had sold out but managed to get a black satin cape and bought a plain witches hat then used the starts and moon templates on dohnut link onto silver material and stuck them on, ended up costing me £5.50 so not bad and my son loves the cape so he can use it after. x
