How about this.. ASUS ROG GL552VX-CN239T 15.6-Inch Gaming Laptop (Black) - (Intel Core i5-6300HQ 2.3 GHz Processor, 8 GB RAM, 1 TB HDD Plus 128 GB SSD, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M, Windows 10) https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01HIWOOSG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_FNByyb8R19ESC.

The i5 processor and 950M graphics chip probably aren't ideal choices for a 'gaming' laptop here. Ideally, I'd suggest trying to get an i7 processor and a 960M or 965M graphics chip - and if joelpunterfamily can afford to wait for a little while, a 1050 chip should be a significant boost over that.

Configuring something based around PC Specialist's Optimus VII could work well here: https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/notebooks/optimusVII-15/

Completely agree with Illusionary, 1050 laptops should be being released some time in or around March which perform near or equal to the 970m and while this still might be slightly over budget if anything it should lead to significant discounts of 960m laptops either allowing you more bang for your buck or time to save for a 1050 laptop which would be more capable.

The laptop that I linked to is £750 at standard spec and has a 960M, though with an i5 in this case. You'll have seen that dozstanford has given another example, which does have an i7.

Yes I have I am also wondering if the Alienware 13 R2 is any good it's the i5 GTX 960m model ? As in the future I could use their external GPU option to help boost it
