Hi,

I live just a few minutes away from the stadium so should be able to help.

If you just want a decent night's sleep, there are various bed and breakfasts around the area which provide decent accommodation with a decent morning's meal, and at a decent price.

one such b&b nearby to the stadium which I would recommend is the Kandara guest house ((click here for their site).
It's about a 10 minute walk from the stadium. You should have no trouble getting there as you'll just need to follow the hoard of red shirts :D

if you want something slightly more 'upmarket' I would go for the Hilton Islington.. The "N1" shopping centre is nearby but its further away than the previous option and of course more expensive.

This site has further details about travel, places to go etc should you require them.

Regards.

Jaybizzle,

Don't know when you are intending to travel but GNER provide cheap travel from Edinburgh Waverly to Kings Cross. To get the cheapest ticket I would advise ordering the tickets by phone and asking them to find you the cheapest tickets on the day you want to travel. The more in advance you book and less fussy you are about times the cheaper the price. It takes about 4 and a half hours so take along a book and your ipod.
