A PC tower like you want is often called a "barebones" system.

People like Novatech sell many barebones systems, here is a list

http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/dirresults.html?s=barebones

Obviosuly a barebones system cost can vary depending on the quality of motherboard, speed of CPU, amounts of memory etc.

Prices on the Novatech site range from a little over £100 to up to £400

(Note that recently the term "barebones" has also come to mean a PC in a small form factor case - like a shuttle - if you do want a proper PC make sure any barebones you choose comes with a full size case)

Any particular requirements or budget or are you just after basic stuff?

id prefer a core2quad and 2gig of ddr2 but i might go for a decent core2duo cpu of 2ghz or higher inside
