Hey Guys,

Long time since I have last posted here but I was wondering if you lot could help!

I am looking for a new TV for my living room, It MUST be either a 40" or 42" with 1080p but here is the tough bit, We don't really want to spend anything more than £500.00 £550.00 max! So please guys... help us!!!

I have looked @ PC world and saw the PS42B430P 42" but its not 1080p, however unless anyone can vouch how good it is then please do say so!

Thanks, Ben

Ps. LCD or Plasma we don't really mind

why do you need 1080p?

are you connecting (now or in the not too distant future)
A blu ray
a PC
A PS3?

if not, forget 1080p, cos without a 1080p source then its giving you no benefit of the higher resolution.

You could try john lewis as last time I checked they come with FREE 5 years gurantee...which is def NEED these days...my TV tube just blew on the 6th year...So i'd def say pay a bit more and get gurantee for longer and don't go for a SONY! No matter what anyone ever tells you! Even when you pay so much for it it'll def mess up

free limited cover is better than none but there are terms and conditions of the JL warranty which a lot of people won't know about unless they read the website first.

theres no time limit on how long before they come to repair the TV or even if they do actually collect it isnt stated.
no cut off point for repair time, it could be gone for like 4-6 weeks.
and the part where it states they may have YOU pay for the repair and claim it back from them.
thats not something I'd ever do.

if a shop promises you a warranty service, you shouldnt have to pay for repairs and claim it back. how long does that take, considering their average time to even price match another store is about 4-5 DAYS.

all too vague.

stick it on yer house insurance.

Yes, Sky HD, PS3 and also a Xbox 360, so 1080p is a MUST!
