I'd wait it out for a couple of months. There will be loads of folk that got one for xmas who will undoubtedly get bored with them then sell them in the local rag for a fraction of the cost.

I got the Roger Black one from Argos last January, my husband assembled it with no problems, only thing is think about where you will put it, cos it's really big, I've ended up keeping it in my front room behind the sofa!

here's one at half price at JJB (Olympus is JJB's own brand)

I dunno what the build quality is like.

My partner bought an horizon treadmill a few months before Christmas, although we opted for one which cost about £600, but you can get loads for around the £300 price mark if you don't want any fancy settings on it so you shouldn't have a problem. Just search in google and there should be a good few sites that have some good offers on. We used fitnesssuperstore.co.uk

We have a folding one, and assembled it ourselves, the bits are pretty heavy, but it's really simple to put together so you shouldn't have any problems, and definatly not worth paying for someone to assemble it for you, it probably only took us about 30mins to get it up and running. But yes they are a lot bigger than you think! Make sure you have the room!

We can confirm they are larger than they look, we bought the protrain max from sport & leisure.
Very good quality. Well worth £500
