Hello,

I'm in need of replacing my broken TV. I have a £400 budget and looking for anything around the 40inch+ size mark, 1080, smart etc. couldn't care less for 4k.

I was thinking something like this - http://www.argos.co.uk/product/3921351

or maybe this - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Panasonic-TX-40DS400B-40-Inch-1080p-Freeview/dp/B01CEBQPGA/ref=sr_1_9?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1484222933&sr=1-9&keywords=42+inch+tv

What are your thoughts and suggestions?

Thank you for your time and help

I think looked decent..

It's rather sluggish to respond to commands though so only really any good if you've got an external freeview/freesat/PayTV box for guide/channels/catch-up etc.

Samsung's K6300 seem to be the best of an unsatisfactory bunch of Full HD TVs as far as I can tell, although even that has it's faults like a missing channel 4 catch-up player and the curved screen's reflection behaviour.

It's worth considering the slightly worse (softer) picture quality of a 4K screen like the 40UH630V or UE40KU6400 as well.

I just took a 1080 one back to Tesco having only bought it on Black Friday. That's the TV I'm looking to replace
