I wish I'd seen that last week. I bought an alba one from Argos at the weekend for just under £35. Getting my money's worth though, the whole family are enjoying the extra channels.

I got one for christmas, but it's not a very good signal think its my aerial, but i have heard they're not too good in an upstairs room don't know why??

That's odd... I would have thought an upstairs room would benefit the reception.

Sometimes using a better quality cable will improve the signal to the box. I changed an ordinary coaxial with one from cable universe: DIGITAL COAXIAL AERIAL CABLE This has improved the picture quality + allowed me to pick up three channels that were all blocky, unwatchable using the old extension.

Make sure you buy connectors to suit your aerial lead or wall socket.

Cable Universe have loads of useful adaptors, plugs... at reasonable low prices.

I can't guarantee that would solve the problem, you might need to get your aerial changed as you say.

It's not just the ariel, the quality of the down lead to your TV along with the quality of connectors at either end will affect the quality
