Buying a tent for the first time and need some advice. Budget is £150 and it needs to sleep 2 adults and 2 kids. Preferably with separate sleeping areas. Thanks

depends on place of intended use

but if looking for a starter kit this could do for £90 + members card

A roomy four-person tent that comes with sleeping bags and mats for all four campers.

The Freedom Trail Luna Trail Kit has all you need to get you and your friends happily camping.

The set contains the Luna Trail 4-person tent, constructed with two face-to-face bedrooms on either side of a central chamber, and comes with four sleeping bags and four roll mats so you're ready for a night under the stars.

If wanting a bit more room this also meets requirements and would be my preference @ £149.99 + members card, as you always will find a use for that extra room.
Id prefer to get on that I can stand up in and while they used to have on in budget that did that, they dont seem to stock it any more

An amazing value tent for six people, ideal for first-time family camping and great for festivals.

The Freedom Trail Kanaka 6 is a simply-pitched tent for 6 with a face-to-face bedroom layout, giving you plenty of sheltered storage space for you and your camping gear.

Ideal for family camping and great for groups of festival-goers, it has 2 separate bedrooms with a central living area that has a removable groundsheet. You can use one of the breathable inner bedrooms as a storage area if there's only two or three of you, or spread out and have a bedroom each if you're a couple!

Its tunnel-style construction mean it's very easily pitched, using the colour-coded fibreglass poles and plentiful guyl;ines.

The large side doors (with window and mesh venting) allow for full ventilation, and the curtains give you privacy when you need it.

however both have 2000mm hydrostatic head which is level of water resistancy
though add some
Nikwax - Tent and Gear SolarProof® on for £19 and it will increase that even more
