earnest jones has got sale on aswell.

depends where you are in the country, you could go and get one made at the jewellery quarter in Birmingham (hockley) (http://www.the-quarter.com/) or London (hatton garden) http://www.hatton-garden.net/

if you are spending that much DON'T go high street, you won't get value for money..

I have been stung before when comparing high street (Ernest Jones) with the manufacturers (Neweys, Birmingham http://www.neweysjewellers.co.uk/

Where u based mate? Jewellery Quarter would be your best bet, you'll get something much better for less than you'd pay on the high street

EDIT: NEWEYS are really good, got a chain from them a while back for £550 thats insured for £1K as thats what it would be valued at on the high street, so you can see you get real value for your money. Plus it does help my mum knows the owner lol

I can't saty in too long...I'm not a huge jewellery fan but always see something I like in there....

Hence going from beads, to a heavy gold chain, signet ring and a pinky ring in 2 trips....I now have banned myself from going

Birmingham isn't too far from me - I'm in Cheltenham, so will have to go check that out - cheers.

Definitely the Jewellery quarter then mate...you'll get much better quality from there...

Can let you know about the others if your interested...my mum used to be in the same game, so can ask her who she knows, but Neweys are definitely one of the best for quality and price. They'll also sort out anything you need re-sizing, engraving etc

Tiffanys - the only real contender to the Jewellery!!!

Yeah, I'd second the Jewellery Quarter in Brum. Loads of shops within a few streets so very competitive pricing.
Else get yourself over to New York on a cheapo return flight cos the prices are bordering on half price over there so for a £1500 budget it could be worth your while considering seriously.

hope you get a lovely ring she must be worth it, congratulations. steph.

I would go abroad and take her with you so she can wear it back to save on customs.
