Ignore the specs on cheap monitors, they're quite meaningless.

All you really want is a screen with an adjustable backlight and a digital input. Adjustable backlights are unfortunately not listed in the specs but most screens these days have them, the last lot of digimate screens didn't have it so I'm not sure about the one above. Digital Inputs are DVI or HDMI. They're the same signal but DVI has the better connector and is more widely used.

Thanks for the reply, strangely I was looking at the same model on the Ebuyer website, the price is exactly the same and the reviews seem to be ok. Is there any difference between the 2 companies as far as cust service etc. goes?

Also as it doesn't come with a dvi cable any suggestions on where I could pick one up cheaply?

Thanks again

If you got a gaming pc then you should do it justice and get a decent monitor ;)

£150 is more than you said I know but theres a really good 24" 1080P/HD monitor with 3 inputs (1 dsub, 1 dvi, 1 hdmi) and it has great contrast.

I'm not sure I'd call that a decent monitor, it's probably slightly better quality but the stand is still poor and it's still going to show the image quality problems of a TN. I think most of what you're paying is for the assurance of knowing who'll give you support - the digimate monitors are sold under dozen of different brands and who knows who looks after the support for the digimate branded ones.

Well I just got this BenQ G2020HD Monitor which I ordered on Saturday and it arrived today from Misco. They also do Quidco. Must say this monitor is awesome!

Well then you'd be quite wrong.

The monitor is great, considering the bargain price of £150 if has pretty decent specs (a good contrast ratio especially) and full 1080p and a great design build to boot the whole thing feels solid and looks great.

What's wrong with the stand? I can't see any problems with it, holds the monitor fine (its bigger than the pictures make it out to be) and is quite sturdy. You also have the option of wall-mounting this monitor too.

What image quality problems? Browsing the net on it and watching full HD videos I've downloaded look fantastic and my xbox 360 and PS3 both look glorious on it via HDMI.

I did some research before buying this monitor and all the reviews were stellar, and rightly so this monitor deserves it!
