Anyone know of a good HTC Desire Vodafone Deal.??

Theres loads of posts on HUKD, bur nothing really which jumps out to me... It HAS to be on Vodafone as thats the only phone network which we have signal on in our house and area.

So far the best contract options which do not includ any cashback via redemption....... (ideally 12 or 18 month MAX)

(Shame the HTC Desire via Vodafone twitter has expired)

Theses are my options so far ...

Vodafone Direct -
£35 PM, 600 minutes, Unlimited text, 500MB Internet. - 18 Month Contract -
SUB TOTAL - £630 - (QUIDCO £150 cashback)
Total £480

Mobiles.co.uk
£40 per month
300 Minutes, Unlimited Texts Mobile Internet and Vodafone Passport - 12 Month Contract -
Sub TOTAL £480 - (Quidco £50) Plus cost of phone £30.00
Total £460. -

Does anyone else have any advice on deals.. (ps.. i know i should not go on quidco cashback, but im happy to take a risk.)

So far, the Mobile.co.uk offer looks best for me, with it been short term.. best valule would be Vodafone with the extra minutes though.. . I only need around 300 minutes per month..

Advice please?

Rick

Go on twitter, and ask about HTC desire deal with 600 mins unl texts and internet for £20 a month for 15months then 30 for 3 more making it an 18 month contract. I have just ordered mine through this.

The thread states that the offer has finshed now though... Is that the case ?

Thanks

Rick I would suggest you ignore the deals with quidco from vodafone, people have been complaining they have been ringing up to confirm the contract thus scrapping there quidco claim.

Yeah, i thought that... more so with it been £150 via Vodafone.... its too much to lose if the cashback does not pay..

Cheers for the tip..

Ignore the fact it says deal expired. Try contacting them through twitter anyway and tell them what deal you want.

You can ignore it if you like - they'll still come back and tell you the deal has expired...

They will still claim "there are loads of other offers" but they're no different than you can get online yourself. I'm trying to haggle with them to see if they can provide a deal in-and-around what I could get with the £30pm and the £150 cashback from quidco. Not hopeful though.

Ah, I see.

I am about to start negotiations with them tomorrow! From the emails I have received from them they seem very keen to talk, but they haven't put down any deals in the email replies and insist on calling me.

Well, they did come back to me and I am pleasantly surprised :)

They agreed to match the £150 quidco via a 150 / 21 = £7.15 discount for 21 months on the £30 contract (600 mins, unlimited text, unlimited internet (with 500MB FUP), free phone and vodafone passport).

I snapped their hand off :) Guy phoned me at lunch time and went through the order - all sorted - I just need to wait for stock.

Oh and the helpful chap threw in a 16GB microSD card "because we see it is your birthday soon" (it is tomorrow)... so I'm very impressed and happy.

I also, at the same time, took out a HTC Tattoo phone for the daughter, £20pm (300 mins/unltd txt and internet) with half price rental for 21 months again. So thats her happy too :)
