Looking to buy a Acer Predator Sniper - Any feedback or alternative recommendations ?

I'm looking at buying the acer predator sniper, although have heard acers arn't very good is this true and would anyone reccomend any other gaming pc's although i really like the look of this one, thanks for any help

Acer laptops aren't grea but, I don't know what the desktop quality is like.

But I would generally avoid those sorts of systems altogether unless you really, really like the design since you're paying a large premium just for the looks and the system inside tends to be poor value for money.

A quick check and I can see that you can get a similar performing system (Q9400, GTX 260, 2x640GB, BD-ROM) in a more basic case for £980, that's a £400 saving, which would get you a high quality monitor like the HP L2475w or Dell 2709W.

It won't have the same capabilities as the acer such as no water cooling or tri-SLI but for most people those things are more trouble than they're worth.

For other sites you could look at pcspecialist, cyberpowersystems, scan, chillblast, cube 247, arbico and glow technology.
