IMO thats one good spec for the price apart from

integreted VGA card (not aproblem if youre not a display-intensive game players)
blutooth-less (can be useful for file transferring or bluetooth speaker/earphone)

not worried about playing games, it will only be used for the web and downloading music, cant seem to find anywhere on the del website to add bluetooth!!

You might want to consider a bigger battery if you're going to use it on the move, on the other hand if it's going to be plugged in most of the time, then it won't really matter.

Personally though, I prefer this Vostro 1400 which I would consider to be better vfm at the moment, I guess it depends if you want a bigger screen. If you configure it with 2GB and a truelife screen it will come in at £364.25 but with a superior processor, better graphics, better battery, and in my opinion the advantage of being smaller.

I'll echo Mike73's admiration of the vostro 1400... shame about the backlog.

I think you've got yourself a good deal there:

the Ati onboard isn't the best in the world, with the intel X3100 dell use in their intel models being slightly better. If the battery upgrade to a 6-cell is reasonably priced, doesn't stick out and you might be using the laptop on the move, I'd consider that.
