most likely yes!

also I'd go for normal! I played trial of the online and didn't like it and know of a lot of people who preferred the single player version!

Depends if you like dragons, swords & sorcery, really. As opposed to big guns, explosions and post-apocalyptic scenery that is!

I absolutely loved Skyrim, myself...

The problem is my fiancée she already is close to leaving me for fallout 4 play time.

Worth it?

I got the game of the year edition when Steam had a sale, I've played probably half an hour of it and never touched it again.

I thought it was dire.

Seriously? Half an hour doesn't even scratch the surface of the game. It's like most RPG's. You have to put a good few hours in and then it opens up and really gets going. I would agree that it's a slog at the beginning though until you get some gold together to get some good gear.

Single player I'd go for Skyrim over Elder Scrolls Online as Skyrim has a much better single player story and side missions where as Online is more repetitive and grinding.

Would you even manage to get to Riverwood in half an hour on your fist playthrough?

If it doesn't grab my attention in the first half hour I seriously doubt it will at all. Haven't gone far wrong as yet!

To be honest, the first time I played Fallout 3 I thought it was crap and sold it. Then a year or so later a colleague was raving about it. I pretty much said the same as you, but he persuaded me to get it again.

Fallout 3 is by far my favourite PS3 game.

one word.....YES!

half an hour into fallout 4 I thought about giving up I couldn't understand it but I perserverd and its amazing.

now level 39

Yes! It plays the same largely. Loading screens are the same. Very big change on the subject matter though as you will need to appreciate Skyrim is medieval type fantasy.

Also what's interesting is that a lot of hardcore Fallout 3 players didn't like Fallout 4 because it played like Skyrim as opposed to Fallout 3..

Your delaying an epic adventure so buy today

Me too. Went back to Fallout 3 after selling and probably my favourite game of all time. Saying that I tried and tried to put time into Dark Souls and Witcher 2 and they aren't doing it for me. Can't wait for Fallout 4 when I get a XB1 next xmas!

Witcher 3 is probably closer to Fallout 4. Both quite dark.

I love Fallout 4, but hate melee combat in first person. So Skyrim is unfortunately not very good for me. I know it had a third person view but it just doesn't feel right.

I was bored poo-less by the first hour or so of Fallout 4, didn't really get it, especially as there's not really any tutorial etc but now several hours in & level 12 & starting to get very involved

I'm a bit like that and panic when in a FPS melee situation! I end up looking a right tool. However if you progress a fair bit in skyrim and get decent spells, bows and something like the sanguine rose you barely get any of those moments

Skyrim is better than fallout.
