Hi all, just wondered if anyone knew where to buy a cheap macbook pro????
All the ones i can find are either over £1000 or on ebay and just a bit cheaper and i dont fancy paying too much money on there.

Cheers

have you considered a refurbished model direct from www.apple.com/uk? They usually have really good prices on all macs and i know some of the Macbook Pro's are just below the £1000 mark.

I've got a Macbook which i bought from there and it came with all the bits and bobs as new ones would and in pristine condition

yeah dont get those from ebay is my advice. no warranty, and could be stolen goods in which case if traced you might have to give it up lol.

refurb gives 3 months to a year warranty if i'm not mistaken. i bought my g4 several years ago refurb and it (touch wood) is still going strong!

yup, you get a full 12 months warranty with refurbs, i don't think you will get a "new"ish Macbook Pro any cheaper

i also suggest refurb'd

i just got a 15" 2.4Ghz for 1049 quid, saved over 500! and my previous mac was a mac mini and that also came from the refurb store and is still going.

I recently got a macbook refurb. now is a good time to get one as a lot of people will ahve sent their week old laptops back because the new model came out like a day after they received theirs!

Also i think currys had some of the older models discounted ( i say old, only just old though!) plus there was a £50 off voucher on here i think?

EDIT:

AWOFF75 £7.50 off when you spend over £149
AWOFF15 £15 off when you spend over £299
AWOFF30 £30 off when you spend over £449
AWOFF40 £40 off when you spend over £549
AWOFF50 £50 off when you spend over £749
AWOFF70 £70 off when you spend over £849
AWOFF100 £100 off when you spend over £1000

higher Education discount is GOOD as well :)

I think, the refured one does not have the latest CPU. The latest one is faster, more cache, and temperature is lower.
