Went to the caves, worth a few hours, also Inca market is a good day out (if you like leather belts).

One place to absolutely avoid is the Auto Safari in Sa Coma......NEVER EVER AGAIN!

Caves of Drach are good and sea cat trips also (just take travel sickness tablets before you go)! :)

We have stayed in Sa Coma several times, great beach, eat at the royal oak, very reasonable and great potions. You can get the local red and yellow bus to the caves of drach, but to be honest a taxi wont cost you much more. Theres a nice market on a wednesday night just behind the Coma Gran hotel, sell lots of nice trinkets and leather.
The sea cat trips we've never done, but are very popular.
Avoid the Local zoo, its a nightmare place.
I would say its a must to do the Pirates show, it is a bit pricey but well worth it. We've been 3 times over the years and always had the best of times, children sit spellbound through-out.
You can also walk into Si'lot from Sa Coma which has many resturants and more where the local families eat.
Enjoy

This place is in Born Free Foundation's Top 10 most complained about attractions. The actual auto safari bit itself wasn't too bad on the surface altho' lack of vegitation/shelter/water was evident, it was when you got to the zoo bit at the back.......

There were 2 chimps in a cage with nothing to stimulate them whatsoever....one was just sat blowing raspberries - I could have cried seeing them like that. Other enclosures there were rats running around coming up from rat holes to take what little feed had been placed in enclosures. Enclosures for the big cats looked great from the front, the back was a whole different story...one tiger kept in a tiny enclosure with no fresh drinking water. The elephants had no shade and no stimulation...in fact there was little in the way of that for ANY of the animals here.

The worst bit by far was the Carl Nauman 'Show'....if clearly drugged tigers and cheetahs being hit by sticks is your thing then you'll be happy here....I could not wait to leave the place. HORRIFIC doesn't even come close.

Honestly, I know it's handy for anyone staying Cala Bona/Cala Millor/Sa Coma but PLEASE DON'T GO. I live in hope that one day soon Born Free Foundation will, with the Spanish authorities help, close this place down or improve things vastly and get rid of Carl Nauman becos' if anyone deserves to be hit with a big stick..it's him!

The sea cat trips are good....we did the pirate one which started in Cala Bona (called into Sa Coma) which was 3 hours long, nothing particularly pirate about it but the kids had fun and we had a nice stop off in Porto Cristo.
