Manchester Accommodation Wednesday 14/05/08 Uefa Cup Final

Couple of non-smoking, non drinking Rangers fans looking for accommodation for one night in th city of Manchester on Wednesday 14/05/08. Every hotel is booked out.

Don't mind if it is hotel, B& B or even someone with a spare room looking to make some cash. God help Manchester when over 100,000 Rangers fans come to town.

Will probably end up wandering streets to train/bus/plane home. Just what Manchester needs,,,more glaswegians sleeping under bridges or in doorways

Will try them, Thanks. Most of the one nighters were booked and unless a can get a few other mates to share £200 is too much (Heaven knows how much i will need to pay to even get a sniff of a ticket!!)

Convenient to the motorway network, this small family-owned hotel is approximately 6 miles from central Manchester and 3 miles from the Manchester Velodrome.

The hotel is fully central heated, double glazed and has a private car park situated at the rear. Also the hotel is fully licensed and has a comfortable TV lounge to retire to at the end of the day. In the morning, our generous-sized breakfast will prepare you for your day ahead, whether that be for business or leisure. With Ashton-Under-Lyne railway station just half a mile away, Welbeck House Hotel is ideally placed for a trip into Manchester, where you can visit the Mosley Street art galleries, the Trafford shopping centre or the city’s Theatre of Dreams, Manchester United’s Old Trafford Stadium.

not the best but 30 mins out off town on the bus

I managed to get booked up within half and hour of the final whistle. Me and 2 mates are driving down from Glasgow and we (well I) found a hotel 2 miles from picadilly train station for £85 for the night for the 3 of us including breakfast :)

Don't have a clue where the city of Manchester stadium is from there though lol, but I'm sure it can't be too far in a taxi. Not got a hope of getting tickets (have you seen how much they are on ebay!!??) but like the other tens of thousands I'm just going for the atmosphere :D

Dear all,

Thanks for all your help and advice. Just as well i didn't get a room booked as my boss refused to give me time off. I was up late last night trying to source accommodation and started late this morning. Leave for 14-15th was suspended as too many people had asked for it off. Including people who couldn't even tell me the line up last night. Totally raging. Too slow to get hotel and too slow to even get time off. Think i might go buy a rifle and some ammo:w00t:

I own a flat that overlooks City of Manchester Stadium, it is currently being re-decorated but could accommodate a couple of Rangers fans, non-smoking, non-drinking types only.

Contact me for info and I will email a picture from our balcony overlooking stadium, it's only about 200 yards from flat to stadium
