Hi, can someone please help me, i have ultra curly hair, my sister used to straighten it for me but now she has moved out. So i am looking for a pair of straighteners! she ses GHD are the best and nothing else even compares. However i found the slim one for £69.00 i just thought this was a bit much! does anyone know of any deals or a similar product.

Thanks everyone,
PS My first post

Yep, I have an idea. Go for a muber one (skinhead). A fraction of the cost (you can buy your own clippers), and none of that poncing around with straightners!

You know it makes sense!

love the attitude of most of the guys on here.

Right. The whole thing about nothing even comparing to GHD's is utter BS. Kodo and CHS have ranges that are ten times as good as GHD's and are half as cheap from your local sally's or salon services. ANY hairdresser will tell you the same.

I'm an indie guy of 21, and I've been using straighteners for 6 years, starting with cheapies, then getting GHDs, which broke far too easily. Been using CHS citrus ones lately, and you can get those in the gents (skinny plates) model too.

Just go to a sally's or salon services and have a word with whoever works there, and they'll guide you in the right direction.

As for the guys bashing straighteners, don't be jealous of our hair and looks :P Girls go for the sensitive, handsome well groomed male ahead of everything else ;)

Lol, i use straigheners, i don't really care what other people think. If this is a macho contest then i probably know more about cars than you lol. Only joking people, no i got scars on my head hence me not going for a number one. besides i like my spiky choppy look.
Thanks for the advice about alternatives though. Can you get them off the net?

I agree - I have CHS ones that have been working fine for more than 2 years and are used every day. Less than £50 and much better than GHDs! :)

You can buy online from Sally's here:

But you really want to find a friend with a Trade Card cause it works out LOTS cheaper!! :giggle:
